Crochet a Celtic weave infinity scarf using just one skein of Caron Cakes yarn. The woven stitch creates a beautiful braided appearance. Keep reading for the free crochet pattern and video tutorial.

This pattern uses the same stitch as my Celtic Winters Cowl and that means that there is a video tutorial that can help you out with this stitch if it's one you aren't familiar with. The Celtic weave stitch make a unique woven texture that looks amazing when paired with multiple colors. Fortunately, Caron Cakes yarn does the color striping for you in this infinity scarf. But don't worry! If you don't like or can't get Caron Cakes yarn, this pattern can be made with any worsted weight yarn of your preference.

Don't you just love that criss-crossed look? I think it looks so cool, especially with all the different colors!
This stitch does have a tendency to curl a bit, so I highly recommend wet blocking. It's not as intimidating as it sounds though! Just get the scarf wet, and let it dry flat. This helps relax the yarn a lot! If you really want to get fancy you can pin it down on some blocking mats. If you really don't want any curl, you could also add a few more rounds of the Celtic weave stitch.

How to Crochet the Celtic Stitch in the Round
Finished Size:
Length = approx. 38"
Width = approx. 5"
Gauge is not particularly important for this piece
Pattern Notes
- Chain stitches do not count as a stitch
- The end of each round is attached to the first stitch of that round with a slip stitch.
- This pattern can be adjusted in length by adding or subtracting in multiples of 4 from the foundation chain.
- Wet block your scarf when you are finished to relax the "curling" tendency of this stitch. Or add extra rounds if you prefer.
