Who needs a fun, fast and unique pattern to get out of the mid-winter slump? A "random skein" stash buster perhaps? If that sounds like you, you'll want to crochet the Wrapped Up Infinity Scarf. Keep reading for the free crochet pattern.

As many crocheters are, I am guilty of having some...excess yarn...lying around the house. I came across a few extra, single skeins of bulky yarn and was trying to figure out what to do with them. And that's when this pattern was born! One skein of bulky yarn usually isn't enough for a scarf, but put two together in a chic braided knot and VOILA! You have something pretty cool and VERY simple! This pattern is so flexible, it will be more of a tutorial. Scroll down for instructions on how to make this trendy infinity scarf.

Supplies
- Two skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Tonal (available at Amazon or Michaels ). I used 'Night Sky' and 'Lime'
- L/8.0mm crochet hook (I use Clover Amour)
- Yarn needle
- Scissors (I always keep these travel scissors in my hook case)
Abbreviations
- ch: chain
- sl st: slip stitch
- HDC: half double crochet
Finished Size
Width of each panel: approx. 4"
Length of each panel: approx. 45"
Pattern Notes
- Ch stitches at the beginning of the row do not count as a stitch
- You can make your panels longer or shorter than 45", but if you want to wear your scarf wrapped twice make sure they are at least 45"
- Make sure you watch the video to know how to tie and finish the scarf (link below).
Instructions
Make two long, skinny scarf "panels":
Ch 13
Row 1: HDC in second ch from the hook, sl st in next, *HDC, sl st, repeat from * across (12)
Row 2: Ch 1, *HDC, sl st, repeat from * across (12)
Repeat row two until you reach your desired length. I used the whole skein of Wool Ease Tonal. Tie off leaving a long tail.
Finish the scarf by using the tail of your yarn to tie the ends together. You will have two different seams to sew, and you should join opposite colors (as demonstrated in the video). Weave in all ends.
