The Crochet Ric Rac Wrap is made with a delicate weight 2 yarn to make a stylish wrap shawl that can be worn in the spring and summer. Keep reading for the free crochet pattern and video tutorial.

The Ric Rac Wrap is a super long lightweight scarf/wrap that can be worn so many different ways! It uses a combination of super basic crochet stitches to make a complex and elegant looking accessory perfect for cool days. The ric rac ladder stitch (explained and demonstrated with a video tutorial below) gives that wrap fabulous drape - and look at that amazing color gradient!

The Ric Rac Wrap was made using Ice Yarns Cakes Cotton Fine Glitz. This yarn is a cake-style, category 2, cotton/acrylic blend and it might just be the most luxurious yarn I've ever worked with! Even thought it is a fine weight yarn, this wrap has some weight and heft to it which is what makes it drape so nicely. It comes in 20 different color combos, and each one has the same stunning gradient affect.

Ice Yarns provided me with this yarn to design with, and you are able to purchase it for yourself here! AND they just added a bunch of new colors that I am totally in love with (there were only a few when I was selecting mine). Their shipping is super-fast so you should have no trouble getting your supplies you need to start this project for fall 🙂

To wear this wrap, you can wear it as a classic wrap or tie it as a long scarf. A shawl pin may be used to secure it in place.
