"Spring Cleaning" may sound a little cliche to some, but in my house it is an absolute reality! I have two dogs, two cats and a toddler so in reality I clean quite a bit more often, but when cabin fever sets in during the earliest weeks of spring I almost always find myself wanting to declutter, clean and update my decor with lighter and brighter colors.

One of my most favorite things about being able to crochet is the ability to update my decor with something I make for myself. In the fall and winter the updated decor is often a blanket, but in the spring and summer I really like to make smaller pieces and rugs are one of my absolute favorites! They are a relatively fast project, they transport easily while you are working on them, and they are such an easy way to bring something new to a room without investing a lot of time or money. PLUS-rugs in the store aren't cheap, so if you can make your own it's that much better!
