Crochet the Lemon Peel Stitch to make a beanie with a really fabulous texture while still being beginner-friendly. The Snowball Slouch Hat pattern includes 4 sizes baby through adult. Keep reading for the free crochet pattern.

Crochet the Lemon Peel Stitch to Add Texture
The thing I love about this hat and the lemon peel (grit) stitch is the amount of texture it adds no matter what yarn you use! You can see the beanie made with simple acrylic yarn show just as much texture as the hat made with Lion Brand Scarfie yarn. You really can make this beanie in so many different ways!

Seven Days of Scarfie Crochet Pattern Collection #2
This pattern was originally part of my Seven Days of Scarfie pattern collections. I have since updated it to include a new video tutorial and updated sizes. I also crocheted it using regular acrylic worsted weight yarn. You can see that it looks great in any variation!
