Hand Dyed Crochet Shawl with Yarn from Sewrella Yarn
This hand dyed crochet shawl was designed to feature yarn dyed by Sewrella Yarn, and is the newest addition to my collection of hand-dyed crochet patterns. The colorway I used was ‘Luna’ which combines a beautiful mauve-y purple with a cool toned gray and just a little bit of speckle.
Up until now, my hand-dyed yarn patterns have all been limited to one skein of yarn per pattern. I cheated on the Luna Shawl by using two skeins of yarn - but I’m not sorry! I had one skein of ‘Luna’ on two different bases, and I wanted to showcase their similarities and differences by working them into the same project.

An Easy DC Shawl with a Twist
This shawl is the easiest shawl you could ever make! It is made up of just DC stitches throughout the entire piece. The visual interest comes from the subtle striping created by alternating sections of the yarn of different bases.
These bases were what Handmade Home Fibers called “Fluff” and “Fuzzy”. Unfortunately, she is not dying on these bases at this time. That being said, this striping pattern would look fabulous combining two different colors as well. If you are really set on using two different base yarns of the same color like I did - check out all the hand-dyed yarn you can find on Etsy!

No Hand-Dyed Yarn in Your Stash?
Now I know that hand-dyed yarn isn’t always the easiest to come by, so definitely feed free to use any yarn you have in your stash for this shawl! BUT if you are just dying (hehehe) to try some hand dyed yarn of your own be sure to follow Handmade Home Fibers on Instagram so that you can be notified of her next shop update.
